Chat, Operator, Project or Solution?¶
You don't need to learn every area before starting your first task. Begin where your current goal fits best.
| You want to… | Start here | What matters |
|---|---|---|
| Answer a question, edit a text or develop ideas | Chat | Describe your goal and provide the context needed. |
| Work on a task with a digital team member | Operator | Choose based on the task description and available capabilities. |
| Organize work around a shared topic | Projects | Check that you're in the right project and know who can access it. |
| Find or manage files | Drive | Check whose file storage you have opened. |
| Use a workflow provided for a specific purpose | Solutions | Read the Solution's description and requirements. |
Example: prepare a team workshop¶
Chat: Turn bullet points into an invitation draft or ask for a suggested agenda.
Operator: Work with a suitable Operator on a structured proposal. The steps they can carry out depend on their configuration and your permissions.
Project: Organize workshop collaboration in a shared context.
Drive: Find and manage the related files. Opening a file in Drive doesn't mean it is being used as a source in a conversation.
Solution: If your organization provides a suitable Solution, follow its intended workflow.
How the terms connect¶
- A chat is a conversation. You can also chat with an Operator.
- An Operator is a digital team member with a task description of their own.
- A project brings work together in a shared context. Project Agents and Operators are different types of Agents.
- A Solution provides functionality for specific tasks. How you use it depends on the Solution.
Access isn't automatically shared
Don't assume a personal chat or a file in your Drive is visible to a project team. Check the area and its displayed sharing settings.
